On Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, there are additional religious services attended by the congregation. Some of these services are requested by families while some are meant for general public. Anyone and everone is welcome to all such services. Every Friday, after the morning prayers, Akhand Paath (continous reading of Sri Guru Granth Sahib without break) is started at around 9 am, which continues until Sunday morning. Every Sunday, at around 9 am, Bhog Ceremoney of the Akhand Paath which was initiated on preceding Friday, is completed. There after, Shabad Keertan begins, which continues until around 11:30 am. At this time, Bhai Sahib, Giani Jasbir Singh Ji, continues with Gurbani Vichaar (interpretation of Gurbani along with references to some Sikh history) until around 12:15. Some announcments and future programs are conveyed to the congregation by the Secretary. Visiting guests, if any, are given time to speak to the congregation, if the topic is approved by the Secretary or the President. Each day, like for all other programs, Sunday's program concludes with Ardaas and distribution of Parshaad (pudding). People then go for Langar to partake some food in the kitchen. |
